Matcha Green Tea Bar
Matcha Green Tea Bar
Green, sharp, and wide awake.
The bar for the start of the day.
Matcha, peppermint, tea tree and lemon on a base of olive oil pressed in Madaba, Jordan. If the Lavender Bar is for the end of the day, this is the other one.
It smells green — grassy from the matcha, cold from the peppermint, with lemon cutting across the top. Frankincense underneath keeps it from going clinical. Dense, slow lather. Leaves skin feeling clean and lightly scented.
Made in small batches, cut by hand, cured for four weeks. Vegan, palm-oil-free, cruelty-free. 95g.

Hero botanicals: Matcha green tea, peppermint, tea tree, frankincense
Origin: Olive oil pressed in Madaba, Jordan
Weight: approx. 95g
Madaba olive oil — The base of the bar, pressed in Madaba. Makes a mild, conditioning soap with a low, dense lather.
Matcha green tea extract — The hero. Where the green colour and the grassy top note come from.
Peppermint oil — The cold edge. The reason this bar wakes you up.
Tea tree oil — Sharp and medicinal in the best sense. Sits behind the peppermint.
Lemon oil — Cuts across the top and keeps the green from going heavy.
Rosemary oil — Herbaceous. Bridges the matcha and the peppermint.
Frankincense oil — Resinous Levantine backbone. The through-line across all KON bars.
Shea butter & sweet almond oil — Richness. Why the bar feels cushioned rather than squeaky.
Castor oil — Lather. A small amount does a lot.
Kaolin clay — Silkiness and slip on the skin.
Mica — Mineral colour. That's the whole colour story — nothing else.
Made only with plant oils, botanical extracts, and mineral color.
Olea Europaea (Olive) Oil, Aqua (Water), Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Sodium Hydroxide**, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Kaolin (Clay), Sodium Citrate, Camellia Sinensis (Matcha Green Tea) Extract, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Sodium Lactate, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Extract, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Oil, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Oil, Boswellia Carterii (Frankincense) Oil, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Oil, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Oil, Mica.

Wet the bar and work it between your palms for a few seconds — olive oil soap lathers low and slow, so give it a moment before it blooms. Then across the body, or over the hands at the sink.
This is the morning one. The peppermint comes forward in warm water and the cool stays on the skin a while after. Some people keep it by the kitchen sink for the same reason.
Keeping it: stand it on a draining dish where air can get underneath. An olive oil bar that dries out between washes will last weeks longer than one sitting in a puddle.
Is the peppermint strong?
It's noticeable. You feel it as cool on the skin, particularly in warm water. If you want something quiet, the Lavender Bar is the other end of the range.
Where does the matcha come from?
Camellia sinensis isn't grown in Jordan — the matcha is sourced from where matcha is grown. The olive oil this bar is built on is pressed in Madaba, as it is in every KON bar.
Why is it green?
The matcha extract and mineral mica. There's no dye in the formula.
How long does a bar last?
It depends almost entirely on whether you let it dry out between uses. On a draining dish with air underneath, a bar lasts considerably longer than one sitting in water. That single habit makes more difference than anything else.
Why olive oil?
It's the tradition this soap comes from, and it makes a milder, denser bar than the palm and tallow blends most bar soap is built on. It also lathers lower — that's the trade, and we think it's the right one.
Can I use it on my face?
It's a body and hand bar. That said, I've used it on my face daily for months. Everyone's skin is different, so patch test first.
Where does it ship from?
Made in Jordan, shipped from California.
Morning and evening
Every KON bar is built on the same olive oil, pressed in Madaba, Jordan. What changes is what goes into it.
This one is green and cold — matcha, peppermint, lemon. The Lavender Bar is the opposite, soft and warm. Same base, same hands, same four weeks of curing. Two ends of the same day.
